wohnzimmer im schlafzimmer trennen

this house was built 14 years ago when my daughter was born this side is quite long towards south and north the view is north side so we tried to let the light in from the south so we made the saw-roof shape and the sunlight comes inthrough the skylight the original idea for this houseis every space is one all together

so we have a long table like this everything happens around this table we like to design architecture for permanence of course, there is no permanence but i would say continuity of course we can design a clean house but a house is not just about style the living style changes this is a place to raise children

it's a nest not a design just recently, we made our children's rooms we were supposed to have only one bedroom so we had to divide it into three and when we got our first child one of my friends gave me a good comment "you're going through the most beautiful moment of your life and that time will last ten years

and the time will never come back" and i think that we are feelingthat first ten years how it's changed my son is 11 years old that's the time we have to separate the rooms for each member so that's the first step of separation but still, it's home so we tried to divide the rooms into three pieces with just furniture

but there are quite nice tricksbetween the rooms because it's made of furniturewe can make a small window the wall is thin so still, the conversation is going on we just tried to maintain a bit of privacy and also a bit of communication all the time we like to design a housecapable of carrying memories usually, we have to design bedroomsfor the family members and we happen to havejust only one bedroom so we have to share everything

but we realized it's good for a family in the modern society always there's a separation between the family members but i remember--maybe all japanese remember we used to share space in a japanese house we used to have only paper partitions and the bedroom was supposed to be a living room in the daytime so we learned how to help each other how to talk to each other, how we can live together

that helps us to live in japanese society japan is a very small island, so if we don't cope with others, we can't live oneness i thought the house should be the kind of space where they learned how to communicate and how to take care of each other the bonding formed in this room is going to last quite a long time
