dekoration selber machen buch
hey everyone :) today iâ´m going to show you how to create an exploding box. this is my very first tutorial and i hope youâ´ll like it well, letâ´s start! :) ***you`ll need*** designpapers, pencil & rubber, set scare & ruler, glue, bone folder designpapers in different colores. best think of what youâ´d like to combine before scrapping. it itâ´s important that your papers are bigger than 24 x 24 cm
you are also going to need typical handicraft equipment like pencil & rubber set scare & ruler better use bigger sizes, like 30cm your favourite glue. mine is liquid glue and foam tape scissors in different sizes and something to folde. later iâ´m going to show you a methode for people who donâ´t own a bone folder step one: ***outsite, first page - 24cm x 24cm***
first weâ´re going to create the outside page. itâ´s important to take care of the pattern because later weâ´re going to fold parts of the paper up: therefore the pattern could be upside down. basically all of the three pages have the same basic construction. all consist of 9 squares e.g.: here they are 8 x 8 cm. so the page is 24 x 24 cm in total for the outside page the â´innerâ´ squares are going to build the walls of the box an the `corner`squares will be inside the box.
if you like you can cut the corner square out. but i prefer them to be heart shaped :) to create those hearts i made a mold out of a 8 x 8cm sheet of paper. i folded it diagonally and then i drew a heart and copied its shape onto my outside page. just like that :) the next step is to score and fold the paper at the square-lines. if you donâ´t own a bone folder you can also use an army knif.
they are very handy and the screwdiver is perfectly for scoring lines ;) use it best in combination with a nonslip ruler. now you need to score the middle of the hearts as well. and cut them out. now fold your outside page. and itâ´s ready :) step two ***the middle page - 21 x 21 cm*** letâ´s do the next page. the special thing about it is, that itâ´ll have some tag pockets.
for those weâ´ll need at least 1 cm distance from the edge. now you can draw your 9 squares this time they are 7 x 7 cm big so this page is 21 x 21 cm in total now we draw some flaps in the 1 cm gap. they are used to build nice pockets. your middle page should look like that. now iâ´ve thicken the lines to show you where to cut your paper. before cutting i recommend you to score the square lines.
this will make it much easier to fold afterwards. now you can cut out :) next you turn your page around so that the motiv side is shown. this will make it easier to continue. now fold your squares up. see? it it now very simple to rellate the flaps to the squares. glue the flaps onto the squares.
so, thats the way your result should look like. iâ´ve been using some paper clips to fix the flaps while the glue drys. furthermore they prevent the pages to stick together :) thus tags can be put in and out easier :d so thatâ´s our middle page. well letâ´s continue. step three ***the innermost page - 18 x 18 cm*** now we create the innermost page. this page is very similiar to the middle page
it also consist of 9 squares and needs a 1 cm distance from the edge. but this time the squares are only 6 by 6 cm which means a total side lenght of 18 cm. this time i want to create another type of tag pockets. cause regular tag pockets would be too boring in my opinion. for this typ of pockets i drew a vertical line at 3,5 cm lateral distance at each middle square. now i thicken lines again to show you where to cut later. remember to score again before you cut. your page now looks pretty similiar to the middle page. to make it look different you have to cut along the vertical line you drew before.
iâ´ve been using a zig zag scissor. but you can use a regular as well. this is the effect you get. in my opinion itâ´s pretty cool â´cause now you can see half of the tags which youâ´re going to put in later if youâ´re pleased with your result your can glue the flaps again onto the matching pages. now all your pages are ready and could be glued together but i advise you to decorate your pages before glueing :) step four ***the mount*** iâ´ve been decorating while the camera was out ;) here you can see the result.
now iâ´ll explain you how to put the pages together. for glueing the pages accurately i recommend you to draw some helping lines. you can draw vertical lines in 0,5 cm distance within the innerst square. those lines will help your putting your pages precisely parallel. i used foam tape to put my pages together create a 3d-look. step five ***the lid*** now the final step: creating the lid. youâ´lll need a sheet of paper with about 12 x 12 cm important ist that the lid is a littler bit bigger than the box.
so that weâ´re able to close and open it comfortable. since the ground of the box is an 8 x 8 cm square the lid has to be about 8,4 x 8,4cm big. first you draw lines within 2,5 cm distance. the you can draw your 8,4 x 8,4 cm square and continue to draw lines all around the sqaure at 2,5cm distance it should look like this. now score and cut. to create the lid you have to cut at the lines at the corners. tip: round your corners for an better result.
and now again: glueing! :) ***the result*** look :) thatâ´s my exploding box. iâ´m very satisfied with it. iâ´ll just want to show it to you mor detailed. thatâ´s how the sides are look like. iâ´ve used some distress inks for a nice effect. if you open it: dã¤m-dã¤m-daaaaam
explosion! you can see now the inside. thatâ´s how our "half tag pockets" look like :3 the cool thing is if you like you can do lots more variations. just some ideas: you could use puncher, other zig zag scissors, cut the half tags like a â´vâ´. decorate it completly different. so that it becomes more personal
which makes it an ideal gift :) with a lot of space for pictures or tag with wishes, song texts or else. also the box is very compact and doesnâ´t need lots of space. here is for example room for pictures. now i show you the tags i made. the box somehow turned out very kitschy :d with flowers and little dots. and butterflies :3 some more space for pictures and some little embellishment.
also a good thing is: it doesnâ´t matte in which way youâ´re turning it :) iâ´ve drawn here by hand a stitch line i like it, â´cause itâ´s so simple but it makes lots of things look more lovely :) aaalright then :) thank you very much for watching. if youâ´ve got questions feel free to ask i hope you enjoed the video. if yes please leave me a thumb up.
see you soon ^0^/
