my new home konnichiwa friends! i arrived!! yeaahhh! this is my new flat as you can see and i would like to introduce it to you. come on, let's go! genkan: you take you're shoes off here living room... a desk for less than 5€ the kitchen: water faucet with adjustable filter for drinking water classic slide door in japan bathroom with shower
a whole room as a shower! nothing can break through humidity. standard in japan bedroom with "futon" the first view gives the impression that this is a very small flat in comparison to that what we're offered in europe. but this is truely huge! i can be happy about it's new interior as well, i've already experienced the less comfortable living conditions of japan during my world trip. what i like the most is our toilet, 'cause it is designed in the 'western style'. it has a lot of technical appliances from the past there are places left where the toilets look a bit different and you also have to squat above them. but ours is a new, modern version what's that button? i wonder what it is useful for...
and because there are still these old toilets spread all over japan, some people still don't know how to use a 'western style' toilet. therefore you have signs like that because of my jetleg during the first week i am always awake really early and do something.... but slowly i accustom to the new time zone. you guys probably know already that japan is really expensive. as a european, living expenses for me are twice as high as in germany i'm really excited about the first balance from the first month here so i know if i live with realistic life standards. what we already do for more money saving is to plug off devices that we don't use at the moment (i'm not sure if that works...) one reason of my ambition to live here is that i have to face new challenges and i have to find new habits that fit my new life and the culture of japan. this is interesting! a quick example: we have to buy extra plastic bags in different colours for the dumping company to pick up. this is the only wy to get rid of our rubbish. who the fuck invents such a method!?
i also went to my new school alrealy! today is the level-finding-test for me that decides in which class i will go. after the test a small snack donated by our sensei... we've got a lot dudes from sri lanka here! they are my classmates. now we will make a quick stop at the city hall and the post office bank to organize some important stuff... it's so cool that our school helps us out with this! thank you very much... let's go! adventure in the city hall wow, that was exciting!
during the next days we had an entrance ceremony... then we had a bbq... i'm lost amoung asians, the only guy from the west i swear! there is just one girl from peru that doesn't even want to be here and that's it! there are even representatives from countries i've never heard of! this is a pros about studying abroad, because you get in touch with so many cultures, not only japanese like in my case. i can have way more differing conversations than what my home country could offer! if you liked the video, show it to me and everybody else on the board below. of course i'd love to answer your questions about japan, so feel free to write them in the comment box below and you should subsribe, if you want to keep following me! ok guys, that's it for now, see you next time!
